Digital mental health company Headspace and World of Hyatt are collaborating to offer Hyatt hotel guests and Headspace members a five-episode video series dubbed Science Behind Sleep that provides tips on improving one’s quality of sleep while traveling.

The videos were filmed at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., and highlight sleep’s role in maintaining overall wellbeing throughout the duration of a trip.

The series includes research and tips on managing common sleep struggles and will be available within nearly 400 Hyatt hotel guestrooms and via the Headspace app.

“Traveling, whether for business or pleasure, brings with it a range of emotions, including excitement, anxiety and stress, all [of] which can affect our sleep quality,” TJ Abrams, vice president of global wellbeing at Hyatt, said in a statement.

“To ensure guests and members are feeling their best, no matter where they lay their heads, the video series is designed to help our guests, members, customers and colleagues on their wellbeing journeys.”

THE LARGER TREND

Headspace has partnered with numerous organizations over the past couple of years.

Earlier this year, the company announced a partnership with Spring Fertility, a network of fertility clinics, to give individuals with family-building challenges access to Headspace’s mental health services.

Femtech company Clue, which offers an app focused on menstrual cycle tracking and reproductive health, partnered with Headspace to provide Clue Plus Members a 50% discount on a Headspace subscription.

Uwill, the mental health platform for colleges and students, expanded its Urise wellness offerings to include Headspace’s director-to-consumer platform.

Last year, Headspace partnered with Intermountain Health’s value-based care subsidiary Castell to provide on-demand behavioral health services to select insurance plan members in Utah, and employer health tech company Virgin Pulse (now Personify Health) extended its partnership to give its members full access to Headspace within its AI-enabled health and wellbeing platform.
