Neurophet sets up China JV
Medical imaging AI company Neurophet from South Korea has established a joint venture in China.
It recently signed an exclusive deal with LADO, one of the leading medical software providers in China, to market its AI-based software for quantifying levels of Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers in PET images.
The deal, which also establishes a joint venture with LADO, aims to secure regulatory approvals and raise Neurophet’s share in the Chinese medical AI market.
LADO has secured partnerships with over 500 medical facilities with PET equipment; more than 300 major hospitals are also using its nuclear medicine systems.
HealthPlix announces Google integration
HealthPlix, an AI-powered EMR system from India, has been reportedly integrated with Google.
This integration, according to a press release, allows patients to book their appointments with HealthPlix-affiliated clinics with Google business profiles on Google platforms.
It also ensures the over 14,000 doctors using HealthPlix that bookings made on Google are also reflected on their practice’s EMR system.
Samsung Medical Center adopts kidney stone surgery robot
Samsung Medical Center in South Korea has recently adopted an AI-driven robotic system for kidney stone surgery.
The hospital’s Department of Urology will start using the Zamenix system by Roen Surgical. The surgical robot is claimed to have an efficacy rate of over 90% in removing kidney stones, guided by AI.
The Korean government-approved robotic system has also been used at Kyungpook National University Hospital and Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital. It was also recognised by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as an innovative medical device in 2021.
