PeopleOne Health, a hybrid care provider focused on preventative care, announced the closing of up to $32.3 million in Series B funding led by GV (Google Ventures) with participation from Transcarent CEO Glen Tullman and other investors.
WHAT IT DOES
The Pennsylvania-based company is an employer-focused, value-based primary care provider, offering patients hybrid access to primary care physicians, mental health providers, physical therapists, diagnostic experts, nutritionists, social workers and pharmacists.
Employers fully cover the company’s offering, and employees pay no copays, deductibles or coinsurance.
PeopleOne has brick-and-mortar locations in Pennsylvania and recently opened its first health center in Florida.
It also offers its employer members access to virtual care.
The company said in a statement that it will use the funds to support its mission to improve care through an innovative health benefit, accelerate its growth in new and current markets, expand its client services and support business development.
“Despite the advancements in healthcare over recent decades, both patients and providers continue to face significant challenges,” Cathy Friedman, executive venture partner at GV, said in a statement.
“PeopleOne Health is transforming the landscape by offering accessible, affordable, and high-quality preventive care that improves outcomes and enhances the healthcare experience. It’s a forward-thinking model that has the potential to reshape how we deliver and receive care.”
MARKET SNAPSHOT
PeopleOne Health resulted from a merger between primary care provider Empower360 and coaching platform Spark360 in 2021.
Last year, PeopleOne announced a strategic partnership with PBGH, a nonprofit organization that represents 40 private employers and public entities. The partners would provide employers with an alternative primary care option, allowing them to offer a subscription-based care delivery model.
Earlier this year, the company partnered with RosenCare, a Florida-based healthcare provider. The companies will establish primary care health centers across the state of Florida.
